Small Groups/Classes

We believe that Small Groups are the heartbeat of our church. We want you to get connected, foster friendships, and grow in your relationship with Jesus through being surrounded by others with strong faith.

What are Small Groups exactly? They are friendly get-togethers that meet at the church or in homes throughout the week. You can engage in building relationships, doing life and learning more about Jesus through his Word. We believe that "doing life together" puts you in the best position to experience God's purpose, plans and power for your life. We are committed to encourage, support and equip one another to discover and develop your relationship with God, your relationships at home and your influence in the world.

Crosspointe has groups for men, women, couples and youth throughout the week. Below is a sampling of small groups and ministries where you can connect.

As men, we often travel through life projecting an image that says, 'I'm okay.' Privately, however, we are battling inner turmoil and conflict. Without healthy outlets and relationships to turn to, we are like that poor water buffalo isolated from the herd that soon becomes dinner for a prowling lion. In "The Herd" you will find men watching out for each other, caring enough to challenge one another in a Godly manner, and facing the challenges in today's complex world together.

Core Classes

Our Core Classes are scheduled periodically and typically meet immediately after the Sunday morning celebration in Suite 310. Lunch is provided. The classes conclude at approximately 2:30PM. Click here to request information about Core Classes.

Class 101: The Heart of Membership
This Class is necessary for membership at Crosspointe.

  • What is the purpose of Crosspointe?
  • Why do we exist as a church?
  • What do we believe God has called us to be?
  • How and why do we do things the way we do?

You can learn the answers to these and any other questions you might have about Crosspointe by attending CLASS 101. Pastor Mike Deese explains the purpose, mission, vision, strategy and structure of Crosspointe. The class also provides an opportunity for you to understand our commitments to Christ, to the church body, to service and to the community.

Class 201: The Heart of Maturity

The second in the sequence of classes, focuses on the four Basic Habits every Christian needs to develop in order to grow to spiritual maturity. This class equips you with the skills you need to develop these habits and explains the tools you need to continue these habits. Discover how to...

  • Establish and maintain a daily quiet time to be alone with God
  • Revitalize your prayer life
  • Honor God with all that you have through giving

Class 301: The Heart of Ministry

You want to become active in ministry, but you just don't know where or how. You keep asking yourself questions such as, "What am I gifted to do?" The third set of classes provides you with an opportunity to understand what the Bible says about ministry and how it applies to you.

By examining the Five Personal Factors, you discover your S.H.A.P.E. (Spiritual Gifts; Heart; Abilities; Personality; Experiences) and develop an understanding of the ministry areas for which God has shaped you.
